L’Oréal Luxe opens a unique world of beauty. Its international brands - including Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, and many more - incarnate all the facets of elegance and refinement in three major specializations: skin care, make-up and perfume.

If you are interested in what a career is like within L'Oréal Luxe, this is the talk for you! Our main speaker for the event is Thierry Cheval, who, having worked at for L'Oréal for 21 years now, is the current Zone Director for the Americas and Global Digital and Retail Director.

Thierry will first introduce us to L'Oréal's brand strategy and then elaborate on topics such as the transformation of luxury beauty in the digital age and the reinvention of the O+O experience.

You will also have the privileged opportunity to hear from Blanca Muñoz (Head of Human Resources - Professional Products Division), Philip Wright (Brand Activation Manager for YSL), Harrison Wright (Product Manager for Lancome) and Amelia Young Abraham (Brand Business Manager for IT Cosmetics) as well as testimonials from recent graduates now working at L'Oréal Luxe.

CUFLBS would like to extend their warmest thanks to Thierry Cheval, Blanca Muñoz, Philip Wright, Amelia Young Abraham and Harrison Dent from L’Oréal Luxe for speaking at the University of Cambridge on Thursday 27th February 2020.

The event provided invaluable insight into the inner workings of a high-profile company like L’Oréal. Thierry gave us a brief introduction to the company as a whole as well as an overview of the brands that L’Oréal oversees, explaining the company’s decisions and processes behind the creation of its brand portfolio. He particularly highlighted the important work that L’Oréal does to ensure that its brands are environmentally-friendly and socially-responsible. Blanca, Philip, Amelia and Harrison all gave inspiring accounts of their experiences working within L’Oréal, including projects they have worked on and found particularly rewarding as well as emphasising the kind of skills that are required to work in such a fast-paced and exciting environment. The breadth of experience between the speakers and the passion they have for their work was evident, making their presentation captivating and inspiring.

Once again, on behalf of all who attended, CUFLBS would like to thank Thierry, Blanca, Philip, Amelia and Harrison for their informative and career-focused event that left us all inspired by everything that L’Oréal Luxe has achieved and the breadth of opportunities it offers to students and graduates alike.
